Women's tennis closes out dual season with loss to Redlands

ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University women's tennis team fell 8-1 in the final dual match of the season to Redlands. Prior to the match, the Panthers celebrated the career of senior Nicole Fouts.

Fouts played in her final dual math after a four-year career with the Panthers. She went 5-11 in singles and 7-9 in doubles this season. She fell in both her doubles and singles matches, playing at the top of the lineup in doubles and at No. 4 in singles.

The Panthers' one point came from sophomore Vasilisa Trofimova on court two in singles. She rebounded from a first set shutout to grab the three set win 0-6, 7-6, 1-0 (10-8). Sophomore Madison Ross also forced a third set in the No. 1 single match but came up just shy 6-3, 2-6, 1-0 (10-6).

The Panthers will play at the Ojai Tournament to wrap up the season April 26-28.
