ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University men's tennis team improved to 3-0 to start the season with a 7-0 win over visiting Lewis & Clark. The Panthers swept through all nine matches to capture the team victory.
A pair of quick doubles victories quickly won the doubles point for Chapman. Aram Izmirian and Ben Jorgenson finished off the doubles sweep with a 7-5 win in the No. 1 match.
Both Izmirian and Jorgenson won in straight sets in singles as the Panthers did not drop one set in singles to quickly clinch the team win. The top three singles matches were all decided 6-1, 6-1 with Kames Krantz and Matthew Dewey joining Izimirian in the dominant wins. Lachlan Dickinson also won 6-4, 6-1 while Adrian D'Aoust won 6-4, 6-0 to finish off the sweep.
The Panthers return to the Anderson Tennis Center courts on Feb. 25 to take on Westmont.
