ORANGE, Calif. — An all out team effort led Chapman Women's Lacrosse to a dominant win over Whitman 17-8.
Chapman meant business coming out Wednesday morning, as senior star
Annika Carlson set the tone early and fast. The three-sport athlete had a season high three goals, six draw controls and another four ground balls. She set the pace early and often.
Following suit, fellow senior
Lyndsey Huss had a game high four goals which constantly placed pressure on the Whitman defense. Huss was aggressive within eight feet, nail four of her five shots on goal. The attacker also dished out two assists, collected five ground balls and committed just one turnover while playing the full game.

Madi Escobar (2),
Ava Regan (2),
Tade Scheid (2) and
Kelsey Shaffer (1) all scored a combined 10 goals. The five underclassmen showed a glimpse of the squad's future under second year head coach
Delaney Benson.
Defensively,
Ilana Touger made her college debut as goalkeeper. The sophomore came away with four saves. The Panthers created 26 Whitman turnovers, grabbed 30 ground balls, and 15 draw controls.
The Panthers will look to maintain this momentum as they prepare to host Oberlin College on Tuesday, Mar. 25 at 4:00 p.m. at Wilson Field.
