ORANGE, Calif. — Chapman Swimming and Diving dominated against Redlands at home Friday defeating the Bulldogs on the women's end and men's end.
In the first portion of the afternoon, Chapman Diving dominated on the low tops end. Senior All-American and SCIAC Champion
Reid Omilian led the way with 323.72 points on the three meter and 338.40 points on the one meter. Diving freshman
Aidan Trautwein finished first in the three meter scoring 344.65 points. To round out the group, SCIAC Champion
Jake Randazzo finished with 301.80 points finishing in second on the one meter.
On the low tops end in the water,
Max Polovinkin led the way in the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke going a time of 58.01 in the 100 and 2:06.38 in the 200.
Derek Jones also came out hot in the 200 yard freestyle going a 1:45.91.
Trent Calloway also added a 4:55.49 in the 500 freestyle. The low tops ended up defeating Redlands 236-51.
On the high tops end, the women's program also dominated defeating the Bulldogs 172-114. Top performers included
Alyssa Kooy, who went a 24.63 in the 50 freestyle. Senior
Tatum Chambers then came in second in the 50 sprint just behind Kooy going a 24.83.
Elise Kittleson finished third in the 50 yard freestyle and first in the 100 yard freesyle with a time of 59.62.
After dominating on Friday, the Panthers will now gear up for the Winter Invite in Monterey Park, Calif. at East Los Angeles College.
