Four teams are in action at home on Saturday, Nov. 1 including women's and men's soccer, men's water polo and football. Saturday is the final regular season home game for some and senior day for water polo, football and men's soccer.
Women's soccer is playing their final home game. With a win they will clinch their spot in the 2025 SCIAC tournament. Last Saturday, they honored their ten seniors:
Brianna Zamora,
Lauren Tovar,
Casey Gilligan,
Jasmine Whittington,
Jenna Urrabazo,
Jana Komposch,
Chaslyn Nestor,
Madeline Achkar,
Alyssa Hernandez and
Serena Lovell. Urrabazo highlights the class as a three-time All-SCIAC team member. The team is on track to host the first round of the SCIAC Tournament on Monday, Nov. 3.
Men's soccer is still competing for a spot in the SCIAC Tournament. They will continue their fight for a post season birth and celebrate senior day against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. They will honor their nine seniors:
Alex Glynn,
Garrett Lindfelt,
Isaac Storms,
Alex Festa,
Dylan Paine,
Cormac Galvin,
Wesley Jackson,
Marco Rodriguez,
Damon Smargon. The entire conference is still jockeying for a position. Three points separate seven out of the nine teams in the conference. Chapman is currently tied with La Verne for fifth place.
Football is also hosting La Verne on Saturday where they will honor roughly 20 seniors. This include athletes who have made All-SCIAC Teams, won SCIAC Athlete of the Week and won conference championships. Some of those athletes are
Kade Zimmerman,
Tate Zimmerman,
Tyler Pacheco,
Gavin Scott and
Kyle Sieben. The Panthers won the Surf Division title after beating CMS in double overtime with three weeks to go in the season. Chapman will host the SCIAC Championship game Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. on Wilson Field.
Men's Water Polo is hosting Redlands and will honor their six seniors:
Jackson Sanders,
Jason Pieracci,
Daniel Franks,
Luke Stiebel,
Nathan Jones and
Sahak Abrahamyan. Franks is a four year member player and a team captain. Sanders will go down as one of the most dominant goalkeepers in program history with a program record 21 saves in a single game. The team still have three weeks and five games left in the regular season. The Panthers are currently tied for fifth in the conference with Whittier College.
