ORANGE, Calif. — Men's tennis ended the regular season with an 8-1 victory over Whittier on Tuesday, April 23, clinching a spot in the SCIAC postseason tournament for the first time since the new format's inception. The win came on senior day when the Panthers celebrated their three seniors – Danny Marsh, Kameron DeHart, and Mason Marks.
The Panthers swept doubles to start off the day. Caleb Wilkins and Ian Jordan had a prompt 8-1 win on court one. DeHart and Aram Izmirian took second doubles 8-3. Ben Jorgenson and Lachlan Dickinson finished out the Panthers' doubles sweep with an 8-4 victory on court three.
In singles, Andy Hess got his first career victory in the number one slot, 6-4, 6-3. The Panthers reigned victorious on courts one through five. The remaining victories go as follows.
Chapman will take on the winner of Saturday's Pomona-Pitzer and Claremont-M-S match on the road in the first round of the SCIAC postseason tournament.
