ORANGE, Calif. — Women's water polo collected its first SCIAC win of the season, defeating Redlands 10-8 on Wednesday, March 6.
Alyssa Fricker netted four goals en route to the victory. Six different Panthers scored, including Kendall Pappan, who added two goals herself.
Chapman trailed early on, but a pair of goals to end the first quarter saw the Panthers jump ahead 2-1. They trailed again midway through the second quarter before a 4-0 run to end the first half and start the third quarter, which put the Panthers up for good.
The Panthers' defense kept them at an advantage as they collected 11 steals on the night – Pappan led the way with three.
Other goal scorers included Riley Eaves, Meg Peters, Callie Malone, and Grace Stuart.Â
Chapman will return to action on Saturday, March 9, at 11 a.m. when they host Claremont-M-S.
