THOUSSAND OAKS, Calif.— Chapman (12-15, 7-9 SCIAC) fell to Cal Lutheran (12-13, 7-9 SCIAC) to wrap up the 2024 regular season. At the conclusion of that match, the Panthers clinched the five seed in The SCIAC tournament,
Olivia Sampson and
Olivia Harrison led the way with a combined 21 kills for the entire match, as the Panthers managed to win one set against Cal Lutheran.
The Panthers managed to win the third set 25-23 while also keeping it close the first two sets.
Lia Ono led the way with three aces, while Harrison had six blocks to lead the Panthers defensive attack. Despite the loss, Chapman clinched the season series against Cal Lutheran.
The Panthers will continue their season in the first round of the SCIAC tournament against Pomona-Pitzer on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 7:00 p.m. as they will fight to punch a ticket to the semi-finals match.
