Senior M Daniel Malikyar earned SCIAC men's soccer Athlete of the Week honors after scoring three goals in two matches last week. Malikyar's three goals helped Chapman to a 1-0-1 week that kept the Panthers in the thick of the race for the SCIAC Tournament.

His three goals in last week's matches surpassed his season-high from the previous three seasons. He scored twice as a sophomore and twice as a junior. He now has four goals in his senior season.

The senior scored twice at Whittier in the Panthers 5-0 road win, scoring both goals just eight and a half minutes apart to give the Panthers a 3-0 lead heading into halftime. Malikyar also contributed a corner kick that began the sequence which ended with Ryan Onart's bicycle kick that became No. 6 on SportsCenter's Top-10. 

The Palos Verdes native scored late in the first half against Cal Lu to give Chapman a 2-0 lead in the Panthers first match of the week. This is the second time the Panthers have been honored with a SCIAC Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week this season.
