ORANGE, Calif. —

Lee finished with a hat trick of goals, two of which he scored late in the second half under 10 minutes apart. Lee netted the game-winning goal in the 87th minute off a follow-up shot.
Cooper Haley wailed a kick from just outside the top of the goalkeeper's box. After the Cal Lutheran goalkeeper swatted the ball away, Lee positioned himself perfectly for the rebound shot that clinched the victory.
The Panthers got off to a blistering start, storming ahead 2-0 early on the the second half.
Hudson Weinberger broke the ice, scoring the first and only goal of the first half. He duped out two Cal Lutheran defenders in the box roughly 10 yards out then popped the ball to the bottom right corner of the net. Chapman went into the half with the 1-0 lead.
Coming out of the half, Lee leaped into the scoring action. He netted a goal with his right foot across his body to the left corner of the goal.
Oliver Adams set him up at the top right side of the goal box to dribble once, pivot with the ball and kick it in. He gave Chapman a 2-0 lead they would soon lose temporarily. Cal Lutheran's Zach Mohr and Dane Paulson evened up the game, scoring just three minutes apart. Paulson netted one at the 51st minute and Mohr scored at the 54th. Then, Cal Lutheran's Tika Kakimoto scored on a penalty kick to give the Kingsmen momentum and a 3-2 lead.
But
Kobe Lee was just getting started.
Lee netted his second goal in the 78th minute.
Enzo Lopes headed the ball slightly backwards towards the middle top of the box. Lee got just the right touch to flick it up towards the goal. The ball bounced off the chest of a Cal Lutheran defender making it fall just out of reach the goalkeeper. That goal tied the game at 3-3 which set the Panthers up perfectly to earn their first victory of SCIAC play.
Chapman will look to continue riding the high as they head on the road to play at Whittier on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 4 PM.
