Coach Harrison enters his 22nd season with Chapman University Football in 2026, continuing a coaching tenure defined by elite player development, championship-level defense and a lasting impact on generations of Panther defensive backs. Harrison joined the Chapman staff in 2005 and has become one of the program’s most experienced and accomplished defensive coaches, overseeing the Panthers’ cornerbacks and playing an integral role in the continued success of the Chapman defense.

Under Harrison’s guidance, Chapman’s secondary has consistently produced some of the most decorated defensive players in Division III football. Throughout his tenure, his players have earned All-American, All-Region and All-SCIAC honors, as well as SCIAC Defensive Player of the Year recognition. His ability to develop defensive backs technically, physically and mentally has made the cornerback position a consistent strength of the Panther defense.

Before arriving at Chapman, Harrison spent 12 years coaching at the prep and junior college levels, including a stop at West Los Angeles College, building an extensive background in teaching and developing defensive football. His experience as both a player and coach has allowed him to bring a detailed understanding of secondary play to the Chapman program.

Harrison played defensive back at the University of Arizona in 1983 after an accomplished high school career that included four years of varsity football at Chatsworth High School. He later earned his degree in Computer Science from Kaplan College.
