Casey Shine

Casey Shine joined the Chapman staff in 2012 as the Recruiting Coordinator and Offensive Coordinator. He has led prolific Chapman offenses that have helped the Panthers to four SCIAC titles. Shine's arrival to the Chapman football program has coincided with the most successful era of Chapman football.

Under Shine, the Chapman offense has thrived in different systems. Shines's offenses have ret both rushing and passing records. His first QB, Michael Lahey, became Chapman's second football Hall of Famer of the Division III era. Since Shine's arrival, the Panthers have been one of the most dominant programs in the SCIAC. The Panthers have ranked in the top-25 in the nation in passing offense in 2013 and 2019 and in the top-25 in rushing offense in 2013-14.

Before joining Bob Owens' staff at Chapman, he spent the previous nine seasons at Santa Ana College where he served as wide receivers coach for several seasons before being promoted to offensive coordinator. After joining the Panthers as the Recruiting Coordiator, Shine now serves as the Offensive Coordinator. Prior to coaching at SAC he coached for three seasons at his alma mater El Modena High School in Orange.

During his college days, Shine played tight end at the University of Nevada where he helped the Wolfpack win back-to-back Big West championships in 1995 and '96, including a win in the Las Vegas Bowl in '96. Before transferring to UNR, he played at Santa Ana College for two years. He was a tri-sport athlete at El Modena High in football, basketball and volleyball.

He and his wife Ingred live in Placentia with their three children Tommy, Sofia and Trevor.Â
