ORANGE, Calif. – A pair of Chapman University baseball student-athletes were honored as Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators. Ryan Nopper and Brady Altman earned the recognition for success on the field and in the classroom.
CSC recognizes student-athletes who meet strict athletic and academic criteria on Academic All-District teams. Student-athletes of at least sophomore standing must compete in 90 percent of their team's contests or start in 66 percent while also maintaining a 3.50 cumulative GPA.
Nopper, a senior from Mission Viejo, Calif., made 40 starts in his senior season at second base. He was a four-year starter for the Panthers and graduated with degrees in Business Finance and Economics.
Altman, a junior from Fox Island, Wash., also started in 40 games this year and was second on the team with 35 RBIs. He is majoring in Economics.
