ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University women's lacrosse team shutout visiting Edgewood 17-0 for a non-conference victory on Tuesday. The Panthers had 10 different players score in the win.
Chapman dominated from start to finish, winning 16 of the 18 draws in match and outshooting Edgewood 36-3. The Panthers combined for 14 caused turnovers as Edgewood committed 25 turnovers and were just 7-for-22 on clear attempts.
Ada Carr's three goals and one assist led the Panthers offensively and five more players scored multiple goals. Zoey Stephens scored once but assisted on three more and led the way defensively with four caused turnovers and three ground balls.
Madelyn Kuhnlein and Ilana Touger split the match in goal to earn the shutout. Kuhnlein faced the only shot to be put on goal and made the save to preserve the shutout.
Chapman posted a shutout for the first time since 2023.
The Panthers head out for a Spring Break trip to eastern Washington with matches against Whitworth on March 22 and Whitman on March 23.
