ORANGE, Calif. — After falling behind early on in doubles, Chapman men's tennis pulled out a massive win at home 5-2 against Whitman on Tuesday.
The Panthers mounted a roaring comeback on the back half, as
Aram Izmirian won his singles set 6-1, 6-4.
Matthew Dewey followed with a 7-6, 6-1 win.
Ian Jordan also battled to a 7-5, 7-5 victory. Then,
Seif El Salawy won in straight sets 6-1, 6-4. To round out the win,
Adrian D'Aoust earned the win in three sets after falling in a tiebreaker in the opening set. He won 6-7, 6-0, 6-4 to close out the team victory.
Chapman ended up fighting back from losing the doubles point to take the 5-2 victory. The Panthers now sit at 4-5 overall. They will return home to host John Hopkins on Thursday, Mar. 19 at 2 p.m.
