ORANGE, Calif. — The Chapman University football team jumped into the D3football.com top-25 poll for the first time this season after Saturday's win over CMS. The Panthers checked in at No. 22.

Chapman had been receiving votes every week since the first preseason poll. This week, the Panthers received 35 more votes than last week's poll to move into the top-25.

The Panthers are also receiving votes in the American Football Coaches Association top-25 poll.

After Saturday's 49-28 win over CMS, the Panthers are 6-1 overall and 4-0 in the SCIAC. In their two non-conference games this season, the Panthers fell on the road at No. 6 Hardin-Simmons but returned home to defeat No. 21 Linfield.

Chapman hosts Pomona-Pitzer at 1 p.m. on Saturday and can clinch the No. 1 seed in the SCIAC Championship with a win.
