ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University men's tennis team wrapped up the 2025 season with a 7-0 loss the Division III's top-ranked team, CMS.
The Panthers sent off four seniors with their final match of the season: Caleb Wilkins, Andy Hess, Julien Sanseverino and Mac Caldwell. All four were in the lineup for the final match.
Sanseverino and Hess provided the Senior Day highlight with a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles. The Stags clinched the doubles point with wins in the other two matches but the senior duo closed out their careers with a doubles victory.
Wilkins and Caldwell both fell in two tight matches. Wilkins forced a tiebreaker in the second set and an extra game in the first set but lost 7-5, 7-6 (7-4). Caldwell dropped his first set 6-2 but forced a tiebreaker in the second set before dropping the match.
The Panthers wrapped up the season 4-13 overall and 2-5 in the SCIAC to finish sixth in the standings.
