ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University women's tennis team defeated visiting RPI 5-2 for its second win in a row. Alexis Golin and Chloe McBride led the Panthers to the upset victory.
Golin won both her matches at the top of singles and doubles lineup while McBride won in the No. 3 doubles and No. 4 singles. Both Golin and McBride won in straight sets in the their singles matches. The Panthers clinched the wins with a 6-3, 6-4 win on the No. 6 court from Makaylee Dahms and a 7-5, 6-2 win from Sydney La in the No. 3 match.
Golin and Lucy Erikson took the 7-5 win in the No. 1 doubles match while McBride and Lucy Wallin took the 6-3 win at No. 3.
The Panthers next take on Sewanee on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
