ORANGE, Calif.— Chapman men's basketball closed out 2025 by defeating Hardin-Simmons at home 78-71 Monday afternoon.
The usual suspects dominated led by
Jake Heberle who recorded a game high 22 points, five rebounds and three assists. Sophomore rising star
Joe Keegan who knocked down eight of nine free throws for 14 points and six rebounds— three of which were offensive boards. Senior forward
TJ Tittelfitz willed his way to eight rebounds off the bench, three of which were offensive rebounds.
Defensively, Chapman caused 10 turnovers and had nine points off them along with 20 bench points. The Panthers also went 15/19 from the free throw line while also out rebounding HSU 41-36. Chapman mounted a late second half comeback after trailing for the first part of the second half.
The Panthers close out the calander year at 7-3 overall, 2-0 in SCIAC play. They will return to action on Jan. 2, 2026 at home against Vassar.
