Football headed back to Whitworth for NCAA First Round

The Panthers and Pirates meet in the postseason for the second time in three years.

ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University football team is headed to Whitworth University in Spokane, Wash. for the First Round of the NCAA Tournament. The Panthers and Pirates meet for a First Round matchup for the second time in three years.

In a familiar pairing, Chapman has met the Northwest Conference champion in four of its five trips to the NCAA Tournament. The Panthers are making their fifth trip to the postseason in 11 years while the Pirates are making their third consecutive appearance.

Tickets, available at www.whitworthpirates.com/tickets, are $15 for adults and $8 for senior adults and students.  Children five and under are free.

The winner of the First Round matchup will head to Wisconsin to take on Wis.-River Falls in the Second Round. Kickoff is set for noon in the Pine Bowl.
