Orange, Calif. — The Chapman men's water polo team had five members named as ACWPC All-Americans including
Everett Prussak (First Team),
Nate Randolph (Second Team),
Davin Castillo (Second Team),
Christian Gotterup (Honorable Mention) and
Jackson Sanders (Honorable Mention). The five athletes named led Chapman to the SCIAC Championship game and the USAWP Division III National Championship match.
Everett Prussak
The senior attacker was named to the ACWPC All-America First Team He dominated throughout his final year of play, with 102 goals, 44 assists and 146 total points. Prussak averaged just under 3.3 goals per game in 2024, which ranked first on Chapman by more than 30 goals. He was also just the second in the program's history to break 100 goals one season. Prussak led the SCIAC in goals scored by over 15 with Peter Trinh from La Verne ranking second. The attacker also dominated when the Panthers needed it the absolute most putting away three goals on the National Championship game against Redlands on Dec. 8. His 102 goals in 2024 ranks second most in a single season in the program's history. Prussak only trails Alex Mule' who had 104 goals in 2007.
Nate Randolph
The senior attacker was named to the ACWPC All-America Second Team. He ranked fourth in the SCIAC in goals scored with 70 and second on the team behind Prussak who was named to the first team. Randolph recorded a season high six goals against La Verne on Nov. 2. The senior showed up big in the SCIAC Tournament semi-finals with four goals against Pomona-Pitzer to help send the Panthers to the title game for the first time in program history.
Davin Castillo
The sophomore attacker was named to the ACWPC All-America Second Team. He ranked first in the SCIAC in total assists with 76 which averaged out to 2.5 assists per game. He also ranked top five in goals with 66 total. Castillo also ranked first in steals with 57 while also ranking top two in the conference in total points with 142 behind his own teammate, Prussak. Castillo recorded a career high seven assists on September 14 against Concordia. That total was good for second most in program history in a single game.
Christian Gotterup
The sophomore attacker was named an ACWPC All-America Honorable Mention. Gotterup recorded 49 goals on the season along with 23 assists and 72 total points for the 2024 season. he had a season high four goals scored against Redlands in the national championship game on Dec. 8, 2024. Gotterup also finished fourth on the team in goals scored.
Jackson Sanders
The junior goalkeeper was named an ACWPC All-America Honorable Mention. Sanders led the SCIAC with 269 saves or an average of 10 per game on the season and ranked sixth in the conference in save percentage. Sanders recorded a career high 21 saves against Biola on Oct. 4, 2024.
