ORANGE, Calif. – Kiana Tanizaki-Hudson was named the SCIAC Swimmer of the Week after winning a pair of races last weekend. She swept the butterfly events against Pomona-Pitzer and Caltech in a double dual.
The SCIAC leader in the 200 fly, Tanizaki-Hudson won the event by over two seconds with a 2:04.79. She also won the 100 fly with a 56.26. She ended the day with a season-best 54.46 to lead off the 400 free relay.
Tanizaki-Hudson owns the top 200 fly time in the SCIAC and ranks in the top-10 in Division III. She also ranks second in the 100 fly.
The Panthers have one more dual meet against Cal Lutheran on Feb. 8 before the SCIAC Championships Feb. 19-22.
