ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University men's water polo team fell 14-9 to visiting Air Force in the Panthers' home-opener. Chapman had previously knocked down Air Force 20-10.
Everett Prussak led the Panthers with three goals but Air Force was able to pull away in the second half to avenge the earlier season loss. Jackson Sanders also made 12 saves for Chapman.
The Panthers found themselves trailing just 7-6 at halftime but the Falcons pulled away with a 5-2 advantage in the third quarter and held the Panthers to just one goal in the fourth.
Chapman returns to the road on Wednesday but will be back home to host a pair of game on Friday as part of the Gary Troyer Tournament.
