CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Chapman University women's lacrosse team ended its season with a 21-2 loss in the SCIAC semifinal at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. The Panthers end the season 9-6.
The Athenas started hot and never let up. CMS scored the first six goals of the match before
Annika Carlson scored to put the Panthers on the board. However, the Panthers didn't find the back of the net again until
Ada Carr scored in the fourth quarter.
The Panthers committed 22 turnovers in the contest as CMS was able to apply pressure on the clear attempts and keep the Panthers off the board.
Anna Hereu made 11 saves and ends her career with the second-most saves in program history.
With the loss, the Panthers season comes to a close in the SCIAC semifinal.
