The Chapman University women's lacrosse team suffered its first defeat at home as the Panthers fell 16-2 to No. 12 Pomona-Pitzer. The Panthers fell to 8-3 overall and 6-3 in the SCIAC.

Olivia Holmes scored for Chapman but the Sagehens went on an 11-0 run in between Chapman goals to pull away for the win. The Sagehens stayed undefeated in the SCIAC with the win.
Anna Hereu made 15 saves in goal for the Panthers and Carr picked up five draw controls. The Sageshens outshot the Panthers 36-13.
Chapman plays its next two games on the road next week and Occidental and Whittier. A win at Occidental on Wednesday would clinch at least third place in the SCIAC standings heading into the SCIAC Tournament. The Panthers wrap up the regular season by hosting CMS at 11 a.m. on April 27.
