ORANGE, Calif. — Chapman women's tennis bounced back to take a 7-2 victory over Pacific on Tuesday, March 26.Â
The Panthers led 2-1 after doubles. Alexis Golin and Sydney La took a convincing 8-0 victory in third doubles, and Olivia Desso and Lucy Erickson teamed up for an 8-3 win on court two.
Chapman continued its dominance in singles, taking five of the six matches. Brooke Waite and Racquel Fhima swept fifth and sixth doubles, 6-0, 6-0, setting the tone for the remainder of the match.
Leading 4-1, Chapman picked up wins in fourth, third, and first doubles. Lily Kresser snagged a 6–, 6-3 win on court four, while Erickson took home a 6-1, 6-2 win. Golin captured the last victory by retirement, on the brink of a win anyway, 7-5, 5-2.Â
The Panthers improved to 3-5 on the season and will take on UC Santa Cruz on Friday before starting SCIAC play against Cal Lutheran on Saturday, March 30.Â
