ORANGE, Calif. — Men's basketball cruised past the West Coast Baptist Eagles for the second time this season, earning a 111-66 victory on Friday, Dec. 8.
Blakeley Stoughton led the way for the Panthers with 22 while five Panthers finished in double figures. Murphy Caffo finished with 15 off the bench, while Connor Stechshulte torched three triples for 11 points. Starters Cruz Billings and Jake Heberle notched 10 and 12 points apiece.
Chapman shot 52.8% from the field, and while they didn't score much from beyond the arc, the Panthers took 30 more trips to the line.
The Eagles started the game on a 7-0 run, but 23 points on turnovers and 50 points in the paint – a 22-point advantage – amounted to the 45-point victory.
Chapman outsized the Eagles, winning the rebound battle 45-33 collecting 11 offensive boards in the process.Â
The Panthers, now 6-2 on the season will have a day off before hosting Bethesda on Sunday, Dec. 10 at 2 p.m.
