CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Chapman University men's water polo team fell 12-5 to top-seeded Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. The Panthers' season comes to an end with a 13-11 overall record.
Chapman stayed within striking distance throughout the first half but struggled to find the back of the net as CMS pulled away in the second half. 
Nate Randolph scored a pair of goals to lead the Panthers.
CMS scored 15 seconds into the match but 
Hudson Pak finished off the Panthers' first possession with a goal. The Stags went on to build a 5-2 lead in the first before a defensively dominated second quarter.
Chapman shutout CMS in the second quarter while 
Spencer Snow netted a goal to pull the Panthers within two at halftime. However, CMS was able to catch its offensive rhythm again with four goals in the fourth and three in the fourth to pull away for the win. Randolph scored both of Chapman's goals in the second half.
Chapman outshot CMS 33-22 in the match were not able to find the crucial goals late in the match to keep them within striking distance. Chapman finished fourth in the SCIAC.
