Plaster scores three on Senior Day

ORANGE, Calif. – Senior Corey Plaster led the team with four goals in his last home game as a senior, but Chapman still fell to Pomona-Pitzer 12-8 at Allred Pool on Saturday. Junior Christopher Garau tallied four assists while Jeff O'Brien recorded five earned ejections.

The Sagehens struck first with a goal from sophomore Adam Ward, but the Panthers answered with a goal of their own by Plaster to tie the game at one. Ward responded with two more goals of his own that propelled Pomona-Pitzer to a 4-2 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Pomona-Pitzer extended their lead to 6-3 at the beginning of the second quarter, but Chapman's Garau and sophomore Brady Hoskins put the Panthers within one point of the Sagehens with a pair of goals, making the score 6-5 going into halftime.

The Sagehens held Chapman to just one goal in the third quarter while they extended their lead to 10-6 heading into the final quarter of the match.

Pomona-Pitzer continued their offensive prowess in the fourth quarter, scoring two more goals to help them win the match 12-8.
