Monique Garcia joined Chapman in July 2026 as the Interim Compliance Manager. She brings an expertise in NCAA compliance and academic success from nearly 20 years of experience in college athletics.
Garcia was most recently the Associate Athletic Director for Administration at Cal State San Bernardino. Her career also includes stops at Florida International, Clemson, Vanderbilt and UCLA. Her career began at Mt. SAC and moved to Grossmont before her stops at Division I and Division II institutions.
She was a student-athlete at Mt. SAC before moving on to St. Thomas University in Florida. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from Florida International.
