Dan Krikorian '07

Dan Krikorian was named the Head Coach of the Chapman University men's basketball team prior to the 2024-25 season. He enters his second season after leading the Panthers to a 14-11 record in his first season as Head Coach. He previously served on Chapman's staff under head coach Mike Bokosky since the 2013-14 season. Krikorian was immediately elevated to Head Coach after Bokosky announced his retirement in 2024.

In his 10 seasons as an assistant, Krikorian helped the Panthers to three NCAA Tournament appearances and two SCIAC Tournament titles. The Panthers qualified for the SCIAC Tournament six times, clinching the top seed twice.

Krikorian joined the coaching staff in 2013-14, helping the Panthers to a SCIAC Tournament championship and Division III playoff berth. He came to Chapman after spending four years coaching basketball at Costa Mesa High School. A Chapman alumnus and former basketball player under coach Bokosky, Krikorian played in 73 games as a Panther before graduating in 2007 with a degree in business.

In his four seasons coaching at the prep level, including last season at the helm of the Costa Mesa HS basketball program, Krikorian led his team to two CIF playoff berths while setting the school record for wins.

Krikorian is also an accomplished podcast host and musician. He is the co-host and co-creator of the popular basketball podcast, "Slappin' Glass." He teamed up with former Chapman teammate Patrick Carney to create the podcast in 2020. Since then, the two have recorded episodes with some of the biggest names in basketball from the college to professional level.

In 2025, he was honored as the NABC Guardian of the Game for Education. Guardians of the Game is a national awareness and education platform led by the NABC. The goal of the platform is to amplify the positive role coaches play in the lives of student-athletes and the contributions coaches make to their communities and society at large. Krikorian was honored for his work as a Head Coach as well as his work on the Slappin' Glass podcast.

He has also recorded and released six critically acclaimed albums as a singer/songwriter since 2008.

Krikorian and his wife, Allie, reside in Orange with their three children.
