ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University women's tennis team stayed unbeaten with a 5-2 win over Arizona Christian on Saturday. The Panthers improved to 2-0 on the season.
After capturing the doubles point, the Panthers won the top four matches in the singles lineup to clinch the team victory. Makayle Dahms did not drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win. Sofiya Khegay won 6-1, 6-0 to put Chapman one point away from the team win.
Lucy Wallin pulled out another straight set victory for Chapman to clinch the match. Chloe McBride added a three set victory. The two also won the top double match 6-3 in helping clinch the doubles point.
Chapman is back on the court tomorrow to take on Lewis & Clark at 10 a.m.
