THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — The 2026 season came to a close for the Chapman University women's soccer team with a 4-1 loss at Cal Lutheran in the SCIAC Semifinals. Chapman made its second consecutive appearance in the SCIAC Tournament.
A tough Panthers' squad kept the top seeded Regals off the board for the first 40 minutes until a strike Keira Hazard found the back of the net in the 43rd minute. The Regals took that 1-0 lead into halftime but quickly added a second goal in the second half.
The Regals continued to press and added two more goals by the 70th minute for a 4-0 lead. Sidney Karjian put Chapman on the board in the 85th minute. The senior concluded her Chapman career with a shot from outside the box that drifted over the keeper and dipped under the crossbar.
Sienna Gomez made six saves for the Panthers.
The Panthers season comes to a close with a 6-9-3 overall record. They finished tied for fourth in the SCIAC standings and return all three All-SCIAC selections next fall.
