ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University women's tennis team captured a 6-1 victory over visiting Salisbury on Tuesday morning. The short-handed Panthers won eight of the nine matches to move to 3-3 on the year.
Chapman swept through the doubles matches with Sydney La and Lucy Wallin taking a 6-1 win at No. 1. Valentina Bellagamba and Chloe McBride won 6-2 at No. 2 while Malina Dahms and Tirzah Tarbox took the 7-5 win at No. 3.
Chapman quickly clinched the match with wins in five of the six singles matches – all coming in straight sets. No Panther dropped more than two games in a single set as Chapman evened its record.
The Panthers are back on the court on Thursday to take on Amherst at 1 p.m.
