ORANGE, Calif. - The Chapman University women's soccer team is headed back to the SCIAC Tournament for the sixth time in program history. The Panthers will go in as the No. 4 seed and face Cal Lutheran.
The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Regals in their final game of the season but went into the match knowing that they had a postseason berth locked up based on Occidental's tie against Pomona-Pitzer earlier in the day.
With a 5-4-3 record, the Panthers ended the SCIAC season with 18 points to take fourth - two points ahead of Occidental and two points behind Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. The Panthers head to top-seeded Cal Lutheran on Thursday at 7 p.m. for the SCIAC Semifinal.
